5-Axis CNC Machining Services in China

Coordinate complex milled parts with Jack through qualified 5-axis manufacturing partners in Shenzhen. Get DFM feedback, a clear quotation, and one point of contact from drawing review through shipment.

When 5-Axis Machining Is the Right Choice

5-axis machining is usually considered when a part has compound angles, deep cavities, closely related features on multiple faces, or geometry that would otherwise require several setups. Fewer setups can reduce accumulated positioning error and make complex parts easier to inspect consistently. The final process still depends on part size, material, tolerance, surface requirements, and production quantity.

What Buyers Can Source

  • Complex housings, brackets, impellers, manifolds, and structural parts
  • Prototype quantities and repeat low-volume orders
  • Aluminum, stainless steel, tool steel, titanium, brass, copper, and engineering plastics, subject to availability
  • As-machined parts plus anodizing, plating, polishing, passivation, bead blasting, and powder coating through approved finishing routes

Tolerance and Inspection Planning

There is no single tolerance that applies to every 5-axis part. Critical dimensions should be identified on a 2D drawing, together with datum structure, geometric tolerances, surface finish, and inspection requirements. Jack reviews these inputs with the selected manufacturing partner before the quotation is finalized. Where required and agreed, inspection can include dimensional reports, CMM results, material certificates, or finish documentation.

DFM Points That Affect Cost

  • Deep pockets and long tool reach increase cycle time and vibration risk.
  • Very small internal radii may require special tools or EDM.
  • Thin walls can distort during roughing, heat treatment, or finishing.
  • Tight tolerances should be limited to features that need them.
  • Cosmetic surfaces need clear protection and acceptance criteria.

Sending a STEP file together with a marked PDF drawing makes the review faster. If the design is still flexible, include the function of the critical features so that practical alternatives can be discussed.

How the Quotation Process Works

  1. Send 3D files, drawings, quantity, material, finish, and target delivery date.
  2. Jack checks completeness and coordinates a DFM review with an appropriate partner.
  3. You receive a quotation defining process assumptions, lead time, inspection scope, and commercial terms.
  4. After order confirmation, Jack follows production, quality records, packing, and shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you own the machines?

SP Precision is an independent manufacturing coordination service. Jack works with qualified manufacturing partners and identifies the contracting and invoicing entity in the formal quotation.

Can you quote from a 3D model only?

A 3D model is enough for an initial review, but a 2D drawing is recommended when tolerances, threads, surface finish, or inspection points are important.

Can you support an NDA?

NDA requirements can be reviewed before drawings are shared. Send the requested agreement or ask for the available process.
